farming!!!!

I love it! What an incredible way to spend the summer. It's only been two weeks and I've learned so much already. My living quarters are an awesome old tent trailer. We (us 4 interns) have an incredible outdoor kitchen and the most amazing supply of fresh veggies, home raised beef, chicken and pork and of course fresh milk and cream for morning cereal (hand milked by yours truly on a semi daily basis)

Wilderness

Canadians know how lucky we are. Nearly one quarter of the planet's wild forests are inside our borders; 20% of the world's fresh water and 24% of the planet's wetlands are Canadian, too. It's an incredible national treasure... and it's under tremendous pressure.

workin' boots

Starting Monday I'll officially be an organic farmer. Living on the farm and working every day with my hands and in the sun. What a life, I cannot wait!
Today I got myself a good pair of rain workin' boots. Quality Canadian-made. Manufactured using recyclable materials, and may be returned (when worn out) for recycling. And not only that, they were made no more than 20 minutes from my house. Locally Canadian-made using recyclable materials. Doesn't get much better than that....oh wait it does, they were under $20!!

my rad new hat!

Another sweet vintage score. Cook Forest Pennsylvania.
